Download the Vivid app from the App Store or Google Play and tap "Get Started." You will be asked to enter your phone number, verify it with a one-time passcode (OTP), choose a username, and complete your profile. The entire process takes about two minutes. You must be at least 18 years old to register.
First, check that you have entered your phone number correctly, including the country code. OTPs are delivered via SMS and usually arrive within 60 seconds. If you have not received it after a minute, tap "Resend Code." If the problem persists, make sure your phone has a signal and is not in airplane mode, then contact us at hello@vivid.social with your phone number and we will investigate.
Go to your profile page and tap the "Edit Profile" button. From there you can update your display name, bio, profile photo, cover image, location, interests, and other personal details. Username changes may be limited in frequency to prevent abuse.
You can request account deletion by emailing hello@vivid.social from the address associated with your account, or by using the account settings in the app if the option is available. Before deleting, make sure you have withdrawn any remaining DIA balance from your wallet, as outstanding balances may be forfeited after account closure. Deletion is permanent and cannot be reversed.
If your account has been suspended, you will have received a notification explaining the reason. Suspensions are issued for violations of our Terms of Service. To appeal a suspension, email hello@vivid.social with your username and a clear explanation of your situation. Our moderation team will review your case and respond within 5 business days. Permanent bans issued for serious violations such as fraud or illegal content are generally not reversible.
Wallet and DIA
DIA, short for Diamond, is Vivid's in-app currency. You use DIA to pay for premium features, tip creators and streamers, fund marketplace escrow agreements, purchase time packages for matchmaking, unlock media content, and boost your listings. You can earn DIA through activity rewards, cashbacks, referrals, and direct deposits. DIA is a utility token specific to the Vivid platform and is not a cryptocurrency or investment product.
Open the Vivid app, navigate to your Wallet, and tap "Deposit." Select a Diamond package that suits your needs, then choose your payment method. Vivid supports payments via Paystack and Flutterwave, which accept cards, bank transfers, and mobile money depending on your region. Your DIA balance will be credited to your wallet automatically once payment is confirmed, typically within a few seconds.
Go to your Wallet and tap "Withdraw." You will need to have completed at least Tier 1 KYC verification to initiate a withdrawal. Enter the amount you wish to withdraw, select your linked bank account or mobile wallet, and confirm. Withdrawals are typically processed within 3 to 5 business days. Higher-value withdrawals may require Tier 2 verification. You will receive an in-app and email notification once your withdrawal has been processed.
First, pull down on the wallet screen to refresh. If the balance still looks incorrect, check your transaction history for any pending or failed transactions. If you believe there is a genuine error, contact our support team at hello@vivid.social and include your username, the approximate amount in question, and the date of the last transaction you are aware of. We reconcile balances from a double-entry ledger so we can trace every movement of funds.
Wallets can be temporarily locked if our systems detect unusual activity, a chargeback has been raised against your account, or as part of an escrow dispute investigation. Your funds are safe. To resolve a wallet lock, email hello@vivid.social with your username. Our team will explain the reason and what steps are needed to unlock it.
Identity Verification (KYC)
Identity verification is required to access higher wallet limits, process withdrawals, and use certain financial features on the platform. It also helps us maintain a trustworthy community by reducing fraud and protecting all users. Vivid operates three tiers: Tier 0 (unverified, basic access), Tier 1 (verified, standard financial access), and Tier 2 (premium verified, full financial access).
Tier 1 requires a clear photo of a valid government-issued ID (such as a national ID card, driver's license, or international passport), the ID document number, and a selfie photo for a liveness check. Make sure the ID is not expired and that all details are clearly readable in the photo.
Tier 2 verification additionally requires your BVN (Bank Verification Number), state of origin, state of residence, and your full residential address. This tier is required for large withdrawal amounts and is part of our compliance with anti-money-laundering regulations.
If your KYC submission was rejected, you will receive a notification in the app explaining the reason. Common reasons include blurry images, expired documents, or a mismatch between the selfie and ID photo. You can resubmit through the Verification section in your account settings. If you need further assistance, contact hello@vivid.social with your username and we will guide you through the process.
Marketplace
The Vivid Marketplace lets users buy and sell goods directly with each other. Sellers create listings with photos, descriptions, and a price in DIA. Buyers can browse listings, make offers, and purchase items. All transactions are protected by Vivid's built-in escrow system, which holds the buyer's funds until the transaction is confirmed complete. This protects both parties from fraud and non-delivery.
Prohibited items include illegal goods of any kind, weapons and ammunition, controlled or prescription substances, counterfeit or stolen property, adult-only content, live animals, and any item whose sale is restricted or illegal in your jurisdiction. Listings found to contain prohibited items will be removed and the seller's account may be suspended. When in doubt, do not list it. Contact us at hello@vivid.social if you are unsure about a specific item.
If a buyer and seller cannot resolve a disagreement between themselves, either party can raise a dispute through the escrow interface. Once a dispute is opened, a Vivid mediator will review the evidence provided by both sides, including photos, messages, and delivery confirmation, and will issue a binding decision. The mediator's decision determines whether funds are released to the seller, refunded to the buyer, or split. Both parties agree to accept this outcome when they initiate an escrow agreement.
Matchmaking
Our AI-driven matchmaker analyzes your profile details, interest tags, passions, location preferences, and in-app behavioral signals to find users who are most compatible with you. The more complete your profile, the better your matches will be. You are only matched with users who are also actively looking to connect at the same time, making every session a live, real-time experience.
Each matchmaking session runs for a set amount of time. When you enter a session you will use a time package purchased with DIA. If you are enjoying a conversation and want more time, you can purchase additional time directly within the session without interrupting the call. Sessions end automatically when the allocated time expires. Time package fees are non-refundable once a session has started, unless a technical fault on our side prevented the session from working correctly.
You can report a user directly from their profile by tapping the three-dot menu and selecting "Report." Choose the relevant reason, add any context, and submit. Our moderation team reviews all reports. For urgent safety concerns, email hello@vivid.social directly with "Safety Report" in the subject line and we will escalate it immediately.
Live Streams (Common Rooms)
Tap the "Go Live" button on the main screen or within a community you manage. Give your room a name, choose your audience settings, and tap "Start Stream." Your audience will be notified and can join immediately. As the host, you have full control over who can speak, join as co-host, or be removed from the room.
First, check that you have granted the Vivid app permission to access your camera and microphone in your device settings. On iOS, go to Settings, find Vivid, and make sure Camera and Microphone are toggled on. On Android, go to Settings, Apps, Vivid, Permissions, and enable them there. If permissions are already granted, try closing and reopening the app, or restarting your device. If the issue continues, contact us at hello@vivid.social.
By default, Vivid does not record Common Room streams. Live content is transmitted in real time and is not stored by the platform once a session ends. If you wish to save your stream, you can use your device's built-in screen recording feature, but please be mindful of the privacy of other participants and ensure you have their consent before recording and sharing any content that includes them.
